Nine Alarm Fire ongoing in Belleville, New Jersey

A Nine Alarm fire is ongoing in the township of Belleville, New Jersey, which is approximately 5 miles away from Newark, NJ. The blaze reportedly started at approximately 3 PM EDT or 7 PM UTC.

As of 5:15 EDT, a State of Emergency was issued for Belleville. As of that time, no injuries were reported. Multiple buildings, including homes and businesses, are ablaze. Winds in the area are ranging between 10-14 mph. The fire was located at the time of writing at 347 Courtland St, just west of the Passaic River and NJ-21 highway.

As of 7:20 EDT, the fire was still ongoing, with evacuation orders issued and residents in North Arlington, NJ were advised to keep all windows closed until further notice.
