A car in downtown Leipzig has rammed into a crowd of pedestrians, leaving several casualties, according to eyewitnesses and police reports.
The incident took place in the eastern German city of Leipzig, where a car traveling at high speeds crashed into a pedestrian-only area, leaving at least two dead, per initial reports. Leipzig’s mayor stated that the incident has left two people dead and that the perpetrator has been apprehended.
